Footnote extends across 3 pages (2000)

I inserted a footnote in a doc, but it is now spread across 3 pages. I tried playing with Footer size in File setUp but that didn't help. Any way I can force it onto the page where it belongs? Thanks!

    Hi Randy:
Try setting the line spacing (Format/Paragraph) to exact, rather than single, etc. See if that helps.
    Cheers,

If you have forced multiple paragraphs in the body to stay together using Keep With Next paragraph formatting, this might force Word to stretch the footnote out over several pages, as there might not be room on the first and second pages. Otherwise, three pages is way more than normal (unless it's the world's longest footnote)...
