    Rules for Bcc (Outlook 98)

Is it possible to create a rule that applies to Bcc. I wish to automaticaly keep track of e-mail I send or forward that I need a reply to. What I was thinking of doing was Bcc the messages to myself and having a run that sends them to a special folder. Looking in Outlook Rules Wizard the does not appear to be anything for Bcc.

One way of solving your problem is to create a special Category (View|Options - near the bottom) for all your Bcc messages, make sure that it is selected and apply a Rule to that Category. This would be slightly long-winded, and I am not sure whether the VB scripting possibilities in Outlook 98 could accommodate automation. HTH

Since you will be sending it to your self, can you not set up a rule that ALL messages sent by you to you would go to this folder, whether it was sent To, CC or Bcc.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I hope the Original Poster knows that all Sent Messages can be moved to a Folder.

When you receive a message as a result of a BCC, this information is not contained in the message or message headers. So your rule would be looking for messages (1) from yourself where (2) you are NOT listed in To or CC. Does that make sense?
