    Is the check number a text field with 255 characters? It looks like somebody may have had a stuck "0" key ( or a book laying on it) that put a long text string into the field.

    Nope, it's a number, a double actually. Set to a precent. I believe that they had real data in there and access lost it's mind and created it's own... But i don't know why it happens..

    In that case, then your database is probably corrupt - there are several recent threads about that subject you may want to look at. In short, it can be caused by network problems, power problems, and workstation software problems that cause a reboot.
