    CTRL+Click Behaviour (6. ?? xpsp1.??)

I'm using a Compaq Tablet PC.
We are testing an sales force application, which uses the
mouse action CTRL+Click for multiple selection like in MS
    Office.
In Internet explorer however, using the CTRL Key in the
virtual keyboard an tipping with the pen into the IE
window, a new IE window is opened. In Excel this
    kobination works like required.
    Any ideas?

Ctrl + Click is a standard 'method' of opening a link in a new window in IE - I'm not sure if there is a way round it.
    Two suggestions -
You could use another browser - MyIE2 which uses the IE engine but does not respond to Ctrl+Click.
Try setting the "Reuse windows.." option as below.

    Leif,
this behavior is only on the Compaq Tablet PC, I cannot achieve this behavior with a Fujuitsu Siemens Tablet PC, nor on any other Laptop with WXP.
Perhaps there is slightly different IExplorer Version., but no indication found.
I looked on below, but there was no below, what'd you mean?

In IE help this Key combination is dedicated for marking several elements (like folders), thatv exactly what I supposed it to do.

    Hi Leif:
I know that Shift+Click will open up a new window (usually), but I haven't been able to do it with Ctrl+Click. I can't find that shortcut listed either.

    Arh! <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15> - you could wellbe right!

(Having moved to MyIE2, I never need to use the keyboard now to open up a new window...)
