    ASPI manager (XP Pro SP1)

Don't know if this is the right place for this but it is an XP issue, based on the error and what I've gotten from Google, Adaptec and Roxio's sites. I just tried to rip a CD for the first time using XP and an old stand-alone CD ripping utility from my Windows 98 system. When I initilized the program to rip the CD it gave the attached error and after clicking OK the program initilized, but I had no CD tracks available and couldn't bring any up. I went to Adeptec's site and downloaded the ASPI Drivers v4.71.2, but can't figure out what to do with them after I extract them to a folder.

Is anyone familiar with this issue and how to resolve it ?? What's an ASPI manager needed for now if I didn't need one before, or was it part of the Win 9x OS ????
