    legal usage issues

Over a year ago, I heard of a committee of legal Word uers getting together with Microsoft to make recommendations to changes that Word should have for the legal profession. I have not heard any mention of specific improvements in this area. Did the committee have any sway with Microsoft? Have I missed hearing about the recommendations and the included legal improvements?

I believe that they did have some sway. I haven't seen XP yet but have heard rumors about improved Track Changes. Automatic Numbering is still a nightmare, though.

    Thanks for the quick response.
Fixing the numbering quagmire is certainly a big issue. Since I have not heard any real promotional blurbs about addressing legal user issues, I am tending towards a pessimistic view as the effectiveness of all the lobbying done by the legal profession. I really hope that I am wrong though. I will continue to wait to examine the new release before having a final opinion.
    Thanks again.
