PrinterAdmin tool on the resource kit cd (WinXP)

    Hi

I have to re-write all our print code due the company purchasing new hardware model printers.
Someone suggested I use the WIn2000/Win XP resource kit cd - printer admin tool & the sample code thats on the resource kit.
I have the WinXP resource kit cd & all I can see on the cd is just sales B.S & theres nothing technical at all.

Has anyone heard of the printer admin tool? ie prnadmin.dll
    How can I obtain it?
Does it only come with Win2000 & not on WinXP?

note: I've also posted this on the forum WIndowsXP. Post: 278656
    many thanks

What does your print code do? If it's a matter of changing around all your paper tray assignments, I doubt Windows programs will provide much help, since those often are company-specific. Of course, a new way to interrogate the printer driver settings would be very welcome, so let us know if your quest leads you to one. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

If you put that filename into a google search you will find a reasonable number of hits (51)

It appears to be on the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit.

    cheers Andrew.

The person I spoke to mentioned I could find it on Windows 2000.
So if its on the Windows Server 2003 server kit, does that mean it may be backwards compatiable ie I can use the 2003 on Office/WinXP?
I'll have a look at into it.
