    Find files containing text

When searching for a Word doc by using Start>Find>Files or folders>advanced -"containing text" it sometimes works and sometimes not. What list of words is being searched? Is it only the keywords,or the summaries,or all the text in files?
How can I get a higher rate of successful finds?

    Re: Find files containing text

    Shalom:
It searches all the text in files. e.g. *.doc & then typing in something in "containing text" will give you all the files ending in .doc that contain that text. Make sure that the "Include subfolders" box is checked (normally is by default). The more you can limit your search, the faster it will be.

    Personally, I prefer a free utility called Wilbur. It is MUCH faster & more configurable & it's <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>.
