    automatically enter a date (2000)

    Ok, I need any help you can give.... I have a form and the people that are entering the data can choose a action for each person that is being entered. There are five actions (Diversion, Declined, Monitor, Court, and Review) they are listed in a drop down list box. I would like to know how to set it up so that when the user selects Diversion it will fill in the current date in another field. I know that it can be done I just don't know exactly how to do it...............Thanks so much! <img src=/S/bubbles.gif border=0 alt=bubbles width=31 height=17>

    The simplest way is by the following code:

    Private Sub Combo0_AfterUpdate()
    If Me.Combo0.Column(0) = "Diversion" Then
    Me.txtMyDateField = Date
    End If
    End Sub

    You'll have to change the field and combo names to your own.
