Photo Printing Wizard (Windows XP Pro)

    Scenario:
Outlook XP SR-2 message with .tif file attachment
Printing message and attached graphic at the same time, through the File... Print dialog box
    Message prints fine
tif attachment opens in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
You must click the print button which starts the Photo Printing Wizard to print the attachment

    Question:
Is there a way to deactivate the Photo Printing Wizard so the message and file with both print without activating a wizard?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Found the following at https://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/...pro/wxp0606.asp

Q: rd50 : The printing Wizard works fine. For many pictures it is tiresome to click Next, Next, Next. Can we send a picture directly to the printer?

A: You can drag an image file directly to the printer's icon to get an automatic full page print.

    Dave,
Thanks for the suggestion! I've tried dragging the tif attachment to the the printer icon in control panel/printers, placing a shortcut to the printer on the desktop and dragging it there, and even the printer toolbar icon on the message itself, but nothing is working. What am I doing wrong? I'm not sure this method would prove beneficial unless there is a way to place the icon on the Quick Launch bar or the System Tray so it is always visible.

You might "Right click" the image icon and then select print. It works on my machine

    Dave,
No, right-clicking takes me into the viewer where I'd again have to go through the photo printing wizard.

    Thanks!

I did NOT select a tif file I got the jpg one next to it. You are correct, the tif file needs the wizard.
