C++ Error on AOL Instant Messenger (Windows XP Home)

When I am talking on AOL Instant Messenger, every 10 minutes or so, it will kick me off, and give me an error that says on the tab, "Microsoft Visual C++ Error Runtime Library." As the description it says, "Program: C:Program FilesAIM95AIM95AIM95_c0AIM95_c1aim.exe. Abnormal Program Termination." Now I believe that I can maintain a conversation with anyone else except the person I was talking to when the error occured, but if I press OK then AOL Instant Messenger will terminate. Help.

Do you have the latest AIM? Have you updated AIM or the C++ runtimes recently?

Believe it or not, the reason I was having this wierd problem is that I actually had downloaded a faulty version of AIM95. THe version I downloaded was only about 660kb, the real version is over a megabite. And I realized this only when I saw on Kazaa that there were bigger files. And sinse then I have been error free.
