    Choosing Account on Send

    Hello all,

I would like to create a macro that requires me to explicitly choose an account when I click "Send" on a message. My wife and I go back and for setting our individual accounts to default, and accidently send mail as the other.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rex

This could be done in VBA but I don't know the Outlook object model. You would want to write a macro that goes to the Options dialog and then sends (much like the print button goes to the printer dialog box before printing). You would name that macro the same as the Outlook command to send.

You may be able to get some help in the VBA forum on this. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

are you using corp or IMO mode?

for IMO: you can use vba to get the menu controls for the command bar. otherwise, the object model is closed for account selection.

Second, use a registry file switching the accounts. Use a batch file to run it and open outlook - you need two, one for you and one for her. i'm not sure if the registry file would require a restart or not, if not, it would require remembering to run it when you start reading your mail so it may not help much. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> it can be added to the outlook bar or hyperlinked to a button though, so it's easy to see and access.

for corp: set up two profiles, one for you and one for your wife.
