Query Advice (WIN 2000 Acc 97)

I know this has been addressed, but I can't find the post.

    Table has 5 fields.

    RecNum
GroupNum (There are 300 different GroupNum's)
    Subscriber
RelationToSubscriber (There are 6 different Relations)
    Address

There are 500 records. I would like to write a query that gives me the count of
GroupNum broken down by each RelationToSubscriber.

    Example of Output is attached.

    Thanks for any help!

This is a crosstab query. The easiest way to create one is to use the crosstab query wizard. Specify the table in the first step, then GroupNum as row header in the second step, RelationToSubscriber as column header in the third step, RecNum or GroupNum (it doesn't matter) as field and Count as function to be used in the calculation in the fourth step, and finally accept or adapt the proposed name.

Amazing - I tried the crosstab originally and reversed what you suggested and it didn't work.
Of course, your suggestion worked immediately.

Thanks again Hans ! I can only say how much I appreciate your help.

    Thank you,
    Michael
