Open User File Lists (2000 SR1 Exchange 5.5)

When you go to File Open, if you have logged on to other users folders, a list of names appear. Where are these stored as I wish to delete names of users who have since left? I have searched the registry the name entry, and also checked my PC for nick files.

I don't have access to an Exchange set-up at present to check this. I believe, however, that the setting is stored in either [username]Application DataMicrosoftOutlook[username].FAV or in [username]Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlookextend.dat. Try closing Outlook, backing up the file(s) and deleting itthem. They should be recreated when you reopen Outlook. HTH

Thank you for your information. I renamed each file in turn and restarted Outlook. Both were recreated but the entries in the drop down list remained. <img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15>
    Will keep looking, and really appreciate your help <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16> <img src=/S/flags/NewZealand.gif border=0 alt=NewZealand width=30 height=18>

Perhaps the details are stored in your Profile on the Server? It usually is the case that, in order to access another's folders, permission has to be given BOTH by the other user and at the server. HTH
