Moving OE identities from one userid to another (6.00.2800.1123)

I may be pushing the envelope here, but has anyone ever come across
    a step-by-step, idiot-proof, loss-less, method
of copying a small number of OE identities, with their associated messages, contacts, and so on
    from one XP profile/user id
    to another
so that, when the 'new' XP profile/userid logs on and starts Outlook Express, s/he finds it looks exactly like the identities in the 'old' profile/userid?

    No? I thought so... <img src=/S/boxedin.gif border=0 alt=boxedin width=25 height=20> <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15> <img src=/S/heavy.gif border=0 alt=heavy width=40 height=34> <img src=/S/heart.gif border=0 alt=heart width=15 height=15>

    SMBP:

In my minimal travels and tribulations, I came across ABF Outlook Express Backup (www.abf-soft.com)... admittedly somewhat pricey... but clean as a whistle, and does it all with absolutely no problem -- great for us slower folks...

    Chuck

SMBP: I already have used Majik's OEBackup, so I think I should have found the link on Tomsterdam, shouldn't I!
For each identity OEBackup produces:<UL><LI>8 REG files
    <LI>7 DBX files
    <LI>a WAB file
<LI>an RGG Signatures files, whatever that is![/list]
and the REG files are quite complex! I will sit down with a wet towel round my head, and read the four pages of printout.

Chuck: That looks like a good program, but, as you say, it costs $30!

Wish I'd had one of these methods when I had to move from a Windows 98SE computer to this XP box about a year ago. I'm still suffering from the effect of the Files and Settings Transfer "Wizard".

    Thanks for your help, folks! <img src=/S/fanfare.gif border=0 alt=fanfare width=31 height=23>

    John:

I surely know your discomfort... I'm still recovering from my NTSF debacle...

Sometimes, especially if a future need can be seen the $30 might be worth it... I wish still I had put a bit more investment into recovery/backup options a month ago...

I have run across several programs that do this John, unforutnately I haven't had to try them which makes all the difference, if I have stashed the links in my OE folder I'll put them up. It may be that you have to pay a few bucks to get the best ones. Try a little google mixing up words like OE clone, OE identities move, OE identities clone, ect.
