    A Cake of Soap

If you place 1 cake of soap on a pan of a scale amd 3/4 cake of soap and a 3/4-pound weight on the other, the pans balance. How much does a cake of soap weigh?

    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>3 lb
    1/4 cake = 3/4 lb so 1 cake = 3/4 lb * 4 = 3 lb</font color=yellow></span hi>

This was meant to be confusing, as was the manuscript puzzle. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>
    But I see you're not easily confused. <img src=/S/thumbup.gif border=0 alt=thumbup width=15 height=15>
