Outlook Signature Graphic (OL 2002 SP-2)

Can you use jpeg graphics with signatures in OL XP? If so, how do you add them? My daughter added one by simply inserting the file but she has different screens and menu sequences than I do. She's also using OL 2002 but without any SP's.

All suggestions greatly appreciated and gratefully received.

As far as I know, Service Packs should not change the menus, but if one of you is composing RTF and the other is composing HTML, some items might be grayed out. If one of you is using Word as your e-mail editor, of course, all bets are off. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

In any event, for HTML, Insert>Picture will let you browse to a JPEG or GIF file on your system and insert it at the current insertion point. You also can save a signature containing a graphic, I believe, 'though I don't remember exactly how to create that.

One of the curiosities about email signatures in Outlook is that you're often better off creating them directly in Word - even if you don't use Word as your email editor. In Word, go to Tools|Options|General|EMail Options.

You should then find that the Signature is available in the Tools|Options|EMail Format dialog in Outlook.

    Thanks Folks

The daughter was home this weekend and navigated me through the setup for a picture graphic. I now see it when I open a new message in Outlook and it appears when I send myself an email.

I'm using the same signature name in the box for replies and forwards but it's not showing up. I've tried setting both new and replies/forwards options to none then re-adding the signature with the graphic and setting both options to use it but with no luck for replies/forwards.

    Curioser and curioser.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
