Getting data from a website (2000)

Is it possible to automatically fill a cell with a value (number) from a website? Can it be done without a macro?

You can copy data from a web site using "Web Query" (Available under Data>Import external data)

Check the Excel help file for "Web Query" to see if it meets your requirements.
