font size of document map? (word 2002)

I want to change the font size of the left panel of document map. It is too tiny. It is now size 4. I need to change the font size to 10 or 12, so that I can see it. I cannot find the answer from the help manual. Can someone help me?

I found this in the Microsoft newsgroups:
<hr>The solution for this is quite bizarre and was discovered by accident:
switch to Outline view and back. Incidentally, Document Map itself is the
cure for another, entirely unrelated (you'd think) problem in Word 2002. To
make footnotes display in ScreenTips when you hover the mouse over the
reference (as they did in previous versions), display, then hide, the DM.

"Document Map" is actually a style, so you can change the font name, size and color of the text in the Document Map window via the Styles Task Pane

    Thanks Hans!

I've fixed the problem according to your message.

Now I can see the font back to the normal size.

If the problem is recurring, you may want to delete the Data key from the Registry. That should fix it permanently.

    Nearly two years later.

I had a problem this morning, my document map was displaying very large text. It took me ages to find the solution.

The ZOOM setting for Document map is set by changing the Zoom setting when you are displaying outline view. I just need to switch to outline view, change my zoom setting from 150% to 100%, and then switch back to Print Layout view (where I wanted to work) and the Document Map looked correct again.

    Hi

I cant change the size of the document map font via the zoom settings on outline view - they have no affect on the document map size.
I can however change by making the document map style visible and changing it there./
    Thanks,
