    Duplex printing (Word 2000)

I have a mail merge document that varies in page length. I want to print the merged docs in duplex, but I am having trouble. A blank piece of paper appears for each doc that has an odd number of pages. Since the final merge is thousands of pages long, I have to be sure it is printing correctly. Can anyone help me?

It seems correct that if you want each odd numbered page to start on the front, and you are printing front-and-back, that any missing even numbered pages need to be replaced with a blank. But if you are getting extra blank pages between documents, that would be hard to explain.

I don't have much experience with duplex printing. Does this recent thread suggest any solutions?

Perhaps I can insert visual basic code to start a new sheet of paper for the current record, if the page number of the last document is an odd number? Or is this barking up the wrong tree? Am I even making sense????
