    SCARDSVR Worm?

I keep getting repeated notices from Norton of a worm infection -- always the same file(s), scardsvr*.*...

Are these real? I delete the files, or replace them from the CD...

    ??

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Scardsvr is related to smart card readers; do you have one on your PC?

You can read this if you haven't already <A target="_blank" HREF="http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_MOFEI.A&VSect=T">The legitimate program
is Scardsvr.EXE, while the worm’s program is Scardsvr32.exe</A>

    Cowboy:

Yea, I ran a manual search and deleted all the ones like the named ones...

I must be missing a piece: if Norton finds this, isn't "it" supposed to delete the aggressor? It keeps telling me it "couldn't repair" it...

And how is this getting past Norton AND ZoneAlarm?

SPEAKING of which: Now am I getting network 'messages' from sites if ZoneAlarm is supposed to be 'firewalling' me?

    Regards,
    Chuck???
