    Need the Games in WinME

    <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Loungers

After 74 years, my mother is now getting into the Computer Age. I have setup an e-mail account for her, and she is loving it and learning about computers like a ham.

She still needs to master double clicking, though she has gotten the click and drag thanks for Windows Solitaire.

But now she wants more, so I am looking for this card game, that I first saw with WinME, I think its called Spider where you need to place the cards in sequence and once you get all 13 cards it goes away and you score.

Is this game, or any other games that can help my Mom get the hang of the mouse, downloadable from some where in CyberSpace?

    Thanks

    Wassim

    Hi Wassim

Free Spider 2002 is a collection of 5 Spider solitaire card games. Note: the heading on the file description says "Free Spider 2003" and the "Homepage" link doesn't work.

    Have a Great day!!!

I downloaded this version, and I did not have any problems with the web site link [happy].

So I guess my Mom now will have a couple of new games to play.

    Thanks again.

It also sounds like your Mom may be a candidate for turning on the "single-click" option of Windows. I used to teach at our local SeniorNet and found that it helped many of the seniors whose hands just aren't as nimble as they used to be. Otherwise, you can change the double-click default speed to something that will give her time to make that second button press. I've also found that some people like a trackball type device where they can use a THUMB for the clicking finger. Don't know why, but it seemed to work. Hope she loves the computer era.....

Another aid, if she has a three button mouse, would be to assign one of the buttons to "double click" (on one press of the button).
