Program list (XP Home)

How can I change the display of my columns of programs. I now have columns that extend almost out of sight on the right side of my window. Can this be changed to a scroll type display?

I think the newer more graphical display takes up more space than the "classic" view. Either way, you might optimize your experience by organizing those shortcuts into subfolders. To locate the shortcuts, see <post#=281432>post 281432</post#>.

Open your Start menu, right-click on a blank area, and select Properties | Customize... | Advanced. Scroll down in the Start menu items list to Scroll Programs and tick the box. Then OK back out and theneed to stretch your screen is gone.

And do consider grouping in sub folders, as suggested. It makes finding the programs easier. You're free to ignore the Start menu groupings application installs use, and replace them with something that suits your needs.
