    Recommended . Net Documentation (.Net)

I need some recommendations for books dealing with .NET (VB not C#) code.
Tips and code samples are preferred as well as an overview.
This person is already a COBOL, PowerBuilder, NAT2 coder, so the concept of coding is not foreign, but the syntax is.
    Thanks

One of my colleagues has "Programming Microsoft Visual Basic.NET", published by Microsoft Press (ISBN: 0-7356-1375-3)

It is a VERY solid reference as well as a self-paced learning tool. I find myself borrowing it again and again!

If you're interested in ASP.NET, I highly recommend ASP.NET Unleashed, published by SAMS (ISBN: 067232542X)

    Hope this helps!

If this person is doing Windows apps (as opposed to web services, database, etc.) , I really like "User Interfaces in VB.NET: Windows Forms and Custom Controls" by Matthew MacDonald.

Another great one for those beyond the novice stage iis "Applied Microsoft .Net Framework Programming" by Jeffrey Richter (he usually writes great stuff, very detailed and clear).
