    Convert Time (Office XP)

I have a column consisting of minutes. I have added those minutes but now want to convert the total into hours and minutes, i.e. 412 total equals 6 hours, 52 minutes. Is there a function that I can use to do this calculation? <img src=/S/bash.gif border=0 alt=bash width=35 height=39>

    Re: Convert Time (Office XP)

You need to divide the number of miuntes by 1440 and format the cell as time.

This works due to the way Excel stores times. Times are stored as a fraction of a day, for example 12:00 would be stored as 0.5 and 18:00 as 0.75
So to convert a number of minutes into this format you need to divide it by the number of minutes in a day, ie 1440
