Changing value in a field with an Update Query

This is my debut on the forum.

I have a field in an Access 2000 DB that was entered incorrectly. It is expense tracking and the admin was entering the wrong [employee num] for a few of our staff members on lots of expenses. I know I can correct the field in an Update Query but need help formatting the query.

The field name is [employee#] and '1092' needs to changed to '101092' in any expense it was entered incorrectly.

    thanks.
    There is always a way.

You can create an update query in Access very simply. Just filter on the employee# with 1092 and update to 101092. It should look something like this:-
