    List Restart macro (2002)

    Can someone please provide me with a listrestart macro. I have tried to create a macro by going through the steps in the document, but it seems to record the style properties of the paragraphs that I am using to create the macro. This macro will be primarily used to restart sub and subsub paragraphs in the following style:

    a. subpara
    (i) Subsubpara
    (ii) Subsubpara

    I have created the subpara and subsubpara using outline numbering. If this is not a good idea, I am happy to take any recommended improvements.

    thanks.

    Re: List Restart macro (2002)

    I hope you are aware that restarting/continuing a list is only a right-click away in Word 2002.

    The following macro is based on the online help for ContinuePreviousList:

    Sub RestartList()
    Dim lfTemp As ListFormat
    Dim intContinue As Integer

    Set lfTemp = Selection.Range.ListFormat
    If Not (lfTemp.ListTemplate Is Nothing) Then
    intContinue = lfTemp.CanContinuePreviousList( _
    ListTemplate:=lfTemp.ListTemplate)
    If intContinue <> wdContinueDisabled Then
    lfTemp.ApplyListTemplate _
    ListTemplate:=lfTemp.ListTemplate, _
    ContinuePreviousList:=False
    End If
    End If

    Set lfTemp = Nothing
    End Sub

    You can easily create an accompanying ContinueList macro by changing False to True
