Anyone ever try to use OLE Automation or similar to run an Office application on a different workstation? For instance, use a VBA program in Access to open an Access database on a different system and run a VBA program. If I understand correctly, this would be using COM and DCOM. Found a match on the MS site that MS does not recommend using Office products in this manner, but that it will work. No sample code there. My use would be fairly simple and limited, so most problems would hopefully not occur. Any help would be appreciated.
