    Query SAP from Excel (XP)

Does anyone have experience querying SAP from Excel?

Someone here gave me a copy of the VB6 module they wrote to do this. I know that I cannot pull the code verbatim from VB6 to Excel. For example, I need the equivalent of the <font color=red>Me</font color=red> function in VB6 to use in XL. Most other things look fairly straightforward.

I still need to get permissions setup to CreateObjects.

    Thanks as always,
    Alan

This is something I have no practical experience with either; although I would expect that you will need to have an Oracle driver installed on your machine. (This may be a special install option on Excel XP.)

Is it possible that you could save the module with a TXT extension and then post it as an attachment - in case there are other issues?
    Grüße

    Actually, I meant the VB6 module. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

The "Me" will be the main form of the VB6 app. If you create a userform in Excel, with controls of the same name as those referenced in the VB6 module, you should be able to get somewhere. As unkamunka mentioned, you will need an Oracle ODBC driver, and access to the Oracle database behind SAP.
