    W.32.Blaster.Worm (XP Pro)

I received quite a bit of help yesterday with the Blaster Worm and I thought everything was ok. I was wrong. I have reinstalled all of the programs that I have noticed were affected but I can not reinstall my Lexmark printer. I get the following error (screen shot attached.) I called Lexmark and the tech told me to reinstall XP and then reinstall the printer. When I reinstalled XP, I received the same RCP warning even though the worm was removed and the patch is in place. I have done the following so far: (more than once! )
    1. Disconnected from the internet
    2. Removed the Hotfix patch
    3. Turned off System Restore
    4. Ran Symantec removal tool (no worm found)
    5. Installed Microsoft patch
    6. Reconnected to the internet
    7. Verified virus software is up to date and ran full system scan
    8. Turned on system restore
I am not sure what else to do; I still can not install the printer and trying to reinstall XP just starts the crash process over again.
I certainly will appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.

Have you downloaded the latest Lexmark Printer Drivers for WinXP?

The worm is gone and the Lexmark printer is finally reinstalled. Tech support from Lexmark said that the missing file was an XP file and it turned out to be a Lexmark file - hmmm! After a 17 hour power outage <img src=/S/flags/Ohio.gif border=0 alt=Ohio width=30 height=18> I'm finally back in business.
    Thanks to all who assisted!
