    How to create custom action?

    Hello

    I'd like to find some documentation on how to create a custom action for an Inbox rule. I've been coding Visual FoxPro for about five years now, so hopefully I shouldn't have too much of a problem figuring it all out, if I can only manage to get pointed in the right direction.

    Does anyone have some good tips on getting started?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Well, shucks, maybe I spoke too soon...

    I just found the Add-In Project Type option in VB6, and the .DLL that I build there magically appears in OL2K's COM Add-Ins dialog (even though for the present I get a type mismatch error when I check it and click OK -- I guess I'll have to keep working on it).

    Am I headed in the right direction? If I expose a method in this .DLL will it appear in the Rule Wizard's custom action combo, once I get past the type mismatch error?

    TIA,
    Jeff

    no, you're a little off track. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> you need to use c++ for custom actions. i think there is something at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.slipstick.com>http://www.slipstick.com</A> about it.

    C++ -- I think I'd rather pull white-hot coals from my nose. <bg>

    Thanks for the Slipstick link -- it led me to the Launcher sample on the MS Exchange site, which does exactly what I was looking for. (So does that mean it's no longer just a sample? <g>)

    You're the greatest, MJ! <s>
