    Re: *Shareware Packagers/Marketers *

Once upon a time there was your local PC user's group and Walnut Creek CD-ROM. Then came the web...

I don't have any experience distributing shareware (or, if I do, I don't have any experience receiving payments). But I think if you have visited enough sites, you get the idea of which look reputable and which do not. You want the user to have confidence in your product, and thus a site that is completely nonselective and gives everything high ratings probably won't earn much trust. On the other hand, some distribution is better than none. At the point that you allow someone else to take money on your behalf, I think it gets more difficult. From the payment processing angle, I've purchased through random odd card processors, but I always try to check them out before entering my card number.

    Bruce,
Never sold anything but I have used Kagi for quite a few purchases. I have never had an issue with them. I have complete confidence in them, something I don't have in Paypal etc.

    Good luck!

    Hi, Chris ~

I have been using Softwrap and Shareit with reasonable ease, but wish to explore others.

I will NOT use PayPal (now owned by e-Bay). See also here and here.
