Finding Not(What I have) (Word 97 and >)

Loungers

OK so you are going to say that I need a , but I have this document, and its supposed to be font Courier New, 10pt.

I need to find what is not Courier New 10pts. In essence I need to use something equivalent to:

With Selection.Find.Font
.Name <> "Courier New"
.Size <> 10
.Bold = False or maybe .Bold = wdUndefined is this delivers anything that is not regular font.
.Italic = False or maybe .Italic = wdUndefined is this delivers anything that is not regular font.
End With

So how can I search for the exception, vs the rule. I sure can grab all the fonts and then loop through them all, but that is time consuming.

Any ideas, or should I just simply check in the nearest insane asylum ?

Thanks as usual.

I don't think that there is an easy way to specify that you want to find everything but Courier New 10 pt.

But if the document is supposed to be Courier New 10 pt. why not make sure by selecting all and setting the font to make sure that there are no exceptions? Much easier than finding the exceptions.

According to your profile, you're already in NY, NY, aren't you?

Perhaps you could just delete or hide the Courier New, 10pt text and see what remains?

If there is some characteristic, such as font color, that is consistent throughout the document then you could do this in two stages.

Make sure whole document is Font Color Black
Find "Font Courier New", Size 10 pt. Replace with "Font Color Blue"
Find "Font Color Black".
