    Programming Internet Explorer (IE6)

I often have occasion to switch from using web page colors to using my colors by setting or clearing the checkbox in (Tools|Internet Oprions|General|Accessibility|Ignore Colors...). I'm looking for a sensible way to do this programmatically. I have found that a registry setting change will do the trick (HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerSettings). However, the change only "takes" after shutting down and restarting IE. In the meantime I've been driven to write a little VB app that sets/clears the check box using SendKeys (ugh!). Is there a programmatic way (from within IE) to force IE to re-read the registry and configure itself accordingly?

I ran into the same wall you did. I didn't find an answer, either.
