    recovering the digitizer

    Hi,

I have an old Palm Vx and very often it's touch screen (digitizer) gets out of alignment, so I have to go back to Prefs->Digitizer to realign it.

Right now, it is so mis-aligned that I simply can't control anything, let alone get to Prefs->Digitizer or even the Welcome app in order to realign it.

The only other option is to do a hard reset, but I don't want to have to go and search for all the apps that are on there and have to reinstall them.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Re: recovering the digitizer

Adam, my palm is an m100 series with OS 3.5, so the menus, etc., may be different, but on mine I can reset the digitizer via the "Welcome" program. Unfortunately it creates a couple of newby introduction Memos and a Palm corporate Contact, but I can live with those.

    Adam,

    Have a look at <post#=281398>post 281398</post#>

It has a link to a digitizer that will open when you do a soft reset.

I installed it on my Vx when I read that post, and I can tell you that it works great.
