    Default Printer Code (Word 2000/XP)

Hi All - I need to create VBA code to tell word to print to the default printer using a particular tray. (I've created code to print to a particular printer and to use a particular tray. This works fine.)

I notice that there are commands such as wdDefaultPaperTray...but nothing that I can see about default printer. Is that because it is actually a Windows setting?

Once again, any help would be great!

    hi Kris,

"... and to use a particular tray. This works fine."

you're lucky. this is a nightmare to control.

to read/change the default printer, read/set the activeprinter property of the application object.

    Thanks!

I will have to test this at the client site and see if it works.
