Functions (MSOFFICE 2000)

    How do I get excel to show the number age from the date in another cell (yyymmmdd) example, A1 has 19820311, and I want 21 in cell B1... any formula for that? Thanks!

    =DATEDIF(DATE(LEFT(A1,4),MID(A1,5,2),RIGHT(A1,2)), NOW(),"y")

(Edited by HansV on 20-Aug-03 22:03. Oops, same formula as JohnBF)
I assume that the format is yyyymmdd, not yyymmmdd. Put the following formula in B1:

    =DATEDIF(DATE(LEFT(A1,4),MID(A1,5,2),RIGHT(A1,2)), TODAY(),"y")
