    Index and Hyperlink Capabilities (2000)

I have created a master document that includes several subdocuments. I have included an index with the master document.

The index function is wonderful except that it does not have hyperlink capabilities. I would like for users to be able to find what they need in the index, click on the term and go right to the appropriate place in the doc.

Are hyperlinks possible in the index? If so, how do I accomplish this?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Index and Hyperlink Capabilities (2000)

    Hi Mary:
This has come up before. So far as I know, the answer is "No". The index doesn't have a hyperlink feature. I'm guessing that the reason is that they can be single words or phrases that ocurr multiple times in a document...even several times on a page. But I'm not trying to justify it. It would be nice even if the page number was a GoTo hyperlink. Sorry I can't be of more help.
