Application.Caller (XP & VBA)

The last person that worked on this series of spreadsheets used Drawing Objects -- flat Rectangles as buttons and assigned macros to them.

I would like to use Application.Caller that I used with Case "Button 1"

----------------------------------------

Select Case Application.Caller
Case "Rectangle 8"
== set some parameters
Case "Rectangle 22"
End Select
=== go do some stuff with these parameters

-----------------------------------------

Is this an option, or am I screwed and need to start over from scratch?

Thanks,
Alan

It took me all of 60 seconds to confirm that Application.Caller will return the name of the shape being clicked.

Oops! I forgot to assign my macro to the Rectangle.
