    default file path (word 2000, word 97)

    I want to always save a document created by a template to the c: drive. I use the Options.DefaultFilePath(wdDocumentsPath) = "c:" command, but it does not work. The document is copied to the default directory in the "File Locations" tab of the document. What am i doing wrong?

    Thanks...

    Sorry for the late reply. I couldn't connect to the Lounge for a while.

    If you always want to save to C:, select Tools | Options..., File Locations to set the default file path.

    If you want to set the folder for the Save As dialog to C:, use

    With Dialogs(wdDialogFileSaveAs)
    .Name = "C:"
    .Show
    End With

    If you just want to save a document in C:, specify it in the path:

    ActiveDocument.SaveAs "C:Test.doc"
