    Right click (an empty part of) the desktop.
    Select Properties.
    Activate the settings tab.
    This tab page should contain a slider to change the resolution.

    we cannot see any mouse cursor, icons, taskbar, nothing

    Since you deleted your original post, this thread must be confusing to others.

    Try to boot into safe mode: press F8 several times while booting the computer, then select Safe Mode. You should be able to see the mouse cursor etc. then.
