    Send (Outlook XP)

I only use Outlook to send e-mails when I need to send a file to a customer. I click on the send as attachment icon on my tool bar and when I'm ready I click on send and receive. But much to my chagrin it sits there and does nothing. In order to send, I need to go into the Outbox, open the e-mail, then click send and receive and voila!! it goes. Oulook is not my default mail program (I'm one of those that prefers O.E), however I do have it set to send immediately. Any ideas?
    thanks
    Thanks John

    John,
My version of outlook works exactly as you describe. From this window clicking on the send button does nothing. My work around: Ctrl +Enter

I've asked our HELP desk for ... help <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15> but they say they can't duplicate it on their machines - so it must be my fault.

    So, I guess it must be your fault <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

    Re: Send (Outlook XP)

Another option is to select 'Send' from the file menu. Somehow or other this button, and only this button, in this window only - doesn't work properly. If anyone else out there knows of a solution, I'd love to hear this.

btw - this only occurs when using XP. My home version of Office (X for the Mac) works properly.

Are you using a popup stopper? It affects the send button in quite a few apps.
