PDF Web Pages (IE 6.0 Windows 98)

Any time I go to web page that is a PDF type page http://h200007.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support...61/bpl10361.pdf I can't view it, all I get is a little box in the top left corner with a red square, green circle and blue triangle in it.
Could I trouble someone to direct me to the setting I have to change on my computer to view it.
BTW I do have Adobe Reader 5.0.

    Couple possibilities:

    (1) Disabled ActiveX controls in the Internet Zone. Try changing the setting to Prompt for Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins under Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet>Custom Level...

    (2) Use right-click/Save Target As... and load them off your hard drive.

It's possible your installation of the control is broken somehow, but it would be unusual for that to happen spontaneously. If you can think of any system changes you might have made, then perhaps it would be worth further investigation.

If that does not solve it (and it certainly might), try to see if you have Acrobat Reader set up to view PDF's within the browser (something MS calls "Browse-in-Place"). It is an setting that must be controlled within Acrobat Reader -- I think uder File | Preferences or Tools | Options -- it varies with the different versions of AR...
