Word tables focing an empty page (2000)

I am frustrated by Word tables that end at the bottom of a page and force a new blank page. No amount of back-spacing/deleting/changing margins/etc will make the empty page disappear. Short of making the table the table a little bit shorter (sometimes very difficult), is there an easy solution to this?

    Thanks!

    hi Larry,

    yes, you've got two options.

first show hidden formatting marks via tools->options->view->formatting marks->paragraph marks to show the pilcrows that serve as word's paragraph marks.

now you can either format the paragraph mark just below your table to have a very tiny font or format it as hidden.
