    Master Document (2000, XP)

I was burned badly enough by the Master Document feature a number of years ago that I have avoided it since then. Is it trustworthy now? Are there pitfalls?

    Thanks for your wisdom.

    Re: Master Document (2000, XP)

    Hi Ena:
I've stayed away from it, too. As far as Word 2000 is concerned, there are still problems. John McGhie, MVP has an article about master documents at this site. I think his comments about why master documents corrupt is still pretty accurate from what I hear (at least up through Word 2000).
