    Enable Hyperlinking (Outlook 97 (8.04.5619))

What setting enables Outlook to use hyperlinks? I sent a message to one coworker and the hyperlink works fine. But when I sent the message to another coworker the hyperlink hand-with-pointy-finger does not show up. The link refers to a network file and works fine on two of three computers but I can't find a setting under Tools-Options that will fix this.

I have found that file hyperlinks can fail if the recipient does not have the drives mapped in precisely the same way you do, and it is preferable to include the server name. Therefore a file hyperlink that is file://hgcurr1/administrative/example.doc seems to have more success than L:admiinistrativeexample.doc

    Exactly . . . I even put the L & R Carats around the filename like
    <<Hal9000f_b$DOR2003_FB_Forecast_Aug_v2.xls>>
    and it still doesn't work.

Any other clues you can offer?
