fill-in field move to next (97)

I have a field that always contain 6 characters. I have an input mask for this field: >AAAAAA;0;_
I am wondering if there is a property I can set for this field so that after the field has the 6th character entered, the cursor will move to the next field without hitting enter or tab? Thanks.

The autotab property does what you want in Access 2000. I haven't used 97 in a while and so am not sure if this feature is included. Perhaps someone else knows.

Access 2000 Help says the following about autotab :"You can use the AutoTab property to specify whether an automatic tab occurs when the last character permitted by a text box control's input mask is entered. An automatic tab moves the focus to the next control in the form's tab order.".

    Thanks, setting the autotab control to yes worked in Access 97. <img src=/S/bananas.gif border=0 alt=bananas width=33 height=35>
