Can you remove all Entrust information from Outlook's zone of knowledge?

Confirm Message Security again, and again, and ... (Outlook 2000)

I just switched from Netscape to Outlook 2000 for my personal e-mail client. I've been using Outlook 2000 at work for quite a while now.

For my personal e-mail, however, I'm getting prompted for security information every time I send an e-mail. It is the Confirm Message Security dialog box. I have two options. S/MIME or Entrust (which we use sometimes at my work. I am forced to choose one of the two. Since I don't want to use Entrust, I keep S/MIME selected. I also select the "Do not ask me to confirm message security again" box (which seems to have absolutely no affect). If I check that and click OK, I get a box asking if I want to apply the message options I have chose to my default options. I click Yes, but again it seems to do no good. I stil get prompted for every e-mail. Then it opens Entrust (which you will remember I did NOT select). If I cancel out of the Entrust dialog box, the message is sent.

Any idea how I can get rid of this box?

    Thanks!!
    Troy

I use Entrust occasionaly for work (different Outlook profile), so I guess the answer is no, unless I misunderstand the question. What did you mean by "Outlook's zone of knowledge" or was that just a fancy way of saying to uninstall Entrust?

    Thanks!!

I just assumed that Outlook had its own list of certifcates it was aware of, and that maybe there was a way to blind Outlook to the existence of the Entrust certificate. Of course, if you need to use it now and then in Outlook, that wouldn't be a very useful solution, would it. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Sorry I can't help more. My experience with certificates is limited to a VeriSign 30 day trial certificate back in 2001.
