    Template folder location

I work in a corporate environment where everyone gets network filestore resources during the log in process. The company has employed a contractor and he has been allocated a PC and a logon, but his logon script does not allow him access to the company network filestore resources. When he tries to create a new presentation using File | New, the application errors because PowerPoint has apparently been set up access templates from a network location (don't ask me why!).
I can easily copy templates and default presentations to his local hard drive but I've looked all over PP97 and PP2K help and I can't find how to make PP look in another place for its templates.
Can someone help with how to do this for PP97 and PP2K, please?
    Thanks in advance.

OK - No answers yet, but I can't believe that, with all that brain power out there, there is no one who can enlighten me as to how/where PowerPoint gets pointed at its template folder or how it can be changed to point somewhere else.
    Pretty please!

Based on this article <A target="_blank" HREF=http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q240/2/16.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=template&rnk=28&src=DHCS_MSPSS_g n_SRCH&SPR=PPT2000>Q240216 - OFF2000: How Office 2000 Manages Templates</A>. It appears that if you use the shortcut bar or Word to set the Workgroup templates location, that will be taken up by all Office Apps. I just did a kind of <img src=/S/baby.gif border=0 alt=baby width=15 height=15>test. I can't see it made a diff - but I didn't reboot either. See what you think.

    Re: Template folder location

Thanks for the link - I'm looking into that one.
The guy with the problem is on NT4 and Office 97. I can try out the W2000 stuff and see if it applies to NT4 as well but I won't be able to do this for a few days.
Will post results on the lounge.
    Thanks
