    Field Ids (Word 2000)

Is there a way to place a field ID on a field so that a particular field and it's content can be found among all fields that may be in a document? How?

One thought...you could put a Bookmark immediately in front of the field and the simply use FIND to locate the bookmark. <img src=/S/compute.gif border=0 alt=compute width=40 height=20>

Is this what you had in mind?

FormField objects have a name (known in the dialog as its bookmark), but regular fields don't. What kind of fields are you talking about?
